A Major League Baseball ( MLB) announcer has been put on hold, after he was changed in the center of a video game after being listened to making a homophobic slur.
Cincinnati Reds commentator Thom Brennaman was covering a double-header between the team and the Kansas City Royals on Wednesday when the occurrence happened.
During the broadcast, Mr Brennaman was captured on among the microphones claiming that an undefined city is “one of the f ** fundings of the world.”
His comments promptly spread on social networks, and also the commentator tried to apologise during the second game when he told the audience he was going to be changed for the rest of the component.
While revealing a crowning achievement, Mr Brennaman stated: “I made a comment earlier tonite that I think headed out over the air that I am deeply embarrassed of.

Mr Brennaman is the kid of Marty Brennaman, that did play-by-play for the Reds for more than 40 years, before he retired in 2015.
His comments were condemned on social media, and Chris Seelbach, Cincinnati’s first openly gay individual elected to the city’s council, stated: “It’s unbelievably frustrating to listen to Mr Brennaman use such language of hate when our country is asking for unity.”
He added: “The Brennaman family are Cincinnati sports symbols with a powerful voice in our community, that makes it even more horrible and completely unprofessional to listen to such language used.”
Reds pitcher Amir Garrett additionally condemned Mr Brennaman’s comments, as well as tweeted: “To the LGBTQ neighborhood feel in one’s bones I am with you, and also whoever protests you, protests me. I’m sorry for what was stated today.”
