Salma Hayek Pinault sported a sheer corseted dress on the purple carpet to celebrate the 10th anniversary of DuJour magazine on 12 December. Currently the magazine’s winter-issue cover star, Hayek is already considered a master of red-carpet sex appeal.
But her latest look, which featured sultry black lace on the bodice and a ruffled tulle skirt, is a stunning addition to her bombshell dressing repertoire.
Before the DuJour event, the 56-year-old actor stopped by the Today show to discuss her upcoming role in Magic Mike’s Last Dance, in which she stars alongside Channing Tatum.
Hayek was accompanied by longtime friend Antonio Banderas, who played her love interest in her 1995 breakout film Desperado. In 2015, Hayek told People that she was initially put off by the public’s emphasis on her looks when Desperado was released.
“When you start, you’re like, ‘No, I want them to see me for my talent, and know me as an actress,’” Salma Hayek recalled to reporters at Spike TV’s Guys’ Choice Awards, where she appeared to accept a “Decade of Hotness” award.
Over time she came to embrace labels like “hot” and “bombshell.” Case in point: her cheeky, aspirational swimsuit shots.
“Now?! They want to give me a decade of hotness—I’m like, ‘Bring it on!’” she added. “You really like to be ‘hot’ after you’re 40.”
