While several of his peers were sending out wearable pillows down the catwalk, Altuzarra was attracted rather towards style that felt imminently wearable with a collection of tailored suiting and also flowy dresses.
Set at La Coupole, a restaurant opened in 1927 that has been referred to as a shrine to art deco, the show was motivated by the memories of females Altuzarra matured around, from his mother to the Parisian women of the eighties. While he claimed in the show notes that he was thinking about a “fantastical warrior woman” while making last periods offerings, also the use of grommeted leather or feather-printed knits felt urban and innovative this time around around. Perhaps todays warrior female is most likely to require “armor” suitable for city life than anything else.
