Kimye is officially over in every sense of the word. Per TMZ, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have settled their divorce after seven years of marriage and almost two years of stalled legal progress. The pair will reportedly have joint custody and “equal access” to the four children they share.
That said, during a since-deleted podcast interview earlier this year, Kanye admitted that the kids stay with Kim “80 percent of the time.”
According the settlement, Kanye will pay Kim Kardashian $200,000 per month in child support. The rapper is expected to cover half of the children’s educational and security expenses as well.
The settlement also stipulates that should any decision-making disputes regarding the children arise, Kim and Kanye must undergo mediation.
If either parent fails to participate in the mediation process, the right to make the decision will default to the other parent.
Given that Kanye failed to attend multiple depositions during the divorce proceedings, the clause feels particularly pointed.
The couple’s property and assets will be divided in accordance with their prenup. Both parties agreed to waive spousal support. Kardashian has been legally single since March, but the proceedings moved forward in fits and starts in large part due to West’s lack of cooperation.
